Q&A for Andrea Faz
- Favorite book?
- I have to go with a classic and say “The Great Gatsby”. I remember reading the book when I was younger and romanticizing the 20’s era. I fancied myself being invited and attending one of Gatsby’s elaborate parties. It was a fantasy to wear an embellished flapper dress, head piece, champagne in hand, and dance myself through the night.
- Guilty pleasure?
- Reality television… Any and all unfortunately. If you really think about it though- reality shows are just an automated, more practical way to people watch. Right?
- Do you exercise?
- I dance! All styles- I am about to start flamenco classes, which I am very excited about!
- Who inspires you and why?
- My mom. She is one of the most beautiful woman I know, who loves to get glammed up, and also happens to be a pharmaceutical chemist. She has taught me that you can be an intelligent professional, hold your own, and still look great while doing it.
- Favorite city?
- Cliche but Paris - the energy in Paris is so unique and like no other.
- Favorite tv show?
- Currently my favorite show is called “House of Consignment” on VH1. The show is about a young female professional named Corrie McFadden who owns an online consignment store. She founded her company 8 years ago (I believe) when she was 22, which is how old I was when I founded my agency. It is inspiring to see where she has come in that time, and I only hope that I can have that same success she has had.
- Weirdest job you’ve ever had?
- I sold sun rooms at home and garden expos.
- Favorite piece of clothing?
- Does a gown count? I actually have a problem where I buy dresses without an occasion to wear them to.
- Favorite blog or website?
- Close tie between http://surisburnbook.tumblr.com/ and http://childrenwithswag.tumblr.com/
- Favorite song?
- “Whatever Lola Wants” by Sarah Vaughan
- What do you do for a living?
- I am the founder and CEO of Faz Media Agency, a Social Media Marketing and PR Agency in Silicon Valley. It is a boutique style firm and we work with B2B, tech, investor relations, startups, and nonprofits.
